More About CART Meetings


Why was CART created?
In the spirit of continued education, career growth, and sharing collective expertise, the San Diego Chapter established the Contract Administrator's Round Table (CART) forum. 
 
What is the main goal of CART?
The primary objective of CART meetings is to provide contract professionals a forum to ask any question, present any situation/problem, share a lesson learned, and get an answer or feedback from a variety of viewpoints.   

Who may attend CART meetings?  
Whether you are brand new in the contracts field or have 20+ years of experience,  we invite you to share your questions, problems and knowledge with your fellow NCMA members so that we can all learn, grow, and excel in our jobs.  

Everyone (all members) is invited to attend. All that is asked of you is that you bring at least one (1) question, or issue or lesson learned to the table.  It’s that simple.  No question is too dumb and most likely most of them will be too hard.  But we will have fun trying to figure it out. 
No egos, no showmanship, and no worrying we are giving away the company secrets.  

Why should YOU attend the next CART meeting?
The role of the “Contracts Professional” is changing.  No longer are we just “Administrators” but we are expected to be “Business Managers”! We all have so much to learn and so little time. You cannot afford the time or money to attend all of the possible seminars.  Additionally as we all know, in the wonderful world of Contract Management, there are multiple solutions to a single problem and multiple problems created by a single solution.  

The CART forum
 provides you one venue in which to ask questions and obtain timely answers.  This forum is an excellent choice for improving your knowledge of contract management and also for developing networking and mentoring relationships.  
 

Where are CART meetings held?
The CART meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of the month is typically held at KES, Inc.  The CART meeting on the 4th Wednesday of the month is typically held at ViaSat, Inc. CART meetings may change location so please be sure to RSVP.  If you are interested in hosting a CART meeting, please contact a member of the Board of Directors.
